December, 1914 - I know only three of the people pictured. Seated on the porch are my great grandparents, William Rufus and Rinnie Yancey. I am presuming that this was a Christmas gathering because of the date written in. I have concluded that this was probably the front porch of their farmhouse near Blum, TX as well since they are seated in front of the group. Standing in the back with her hand to the back of her head is my Aunt Edith. Edith was the third oldest of six children for W.R. and Rinnie and she was 17 yrs old here. I suspect this was a photo taken by my grandmother, Lillie Pearl, only because I know she took a lot of photos and this one is from her things. She was the oldest of their children and would have been 20 yrs old in Dec., 1914.
